A major producer of orange juice has serious issues with a competitor’s Chopper pump due to constant bearing and seal failures. They replaced the competitor’s pump with a Toyo DEC Cantilever with Chopper in the ‘classifier’ area of the plant. This is where the fruits are separated from the branches, leaves, twigs etc that also come in on the trucks. The Toyo pump sits in the sump that collects the foreign debris from the classifier. |
