This job combines technical support, inside and outside sales.

Responsibilities:

• Provide inside technical and commercial support and field sales,
• Ensure accuracy of pump selection and specification while supporting distributors and customers,
• Attend to phone calls and emails from head office, distributors and customers,
•  Provide support to the regional manager in market and sales development, cold calls and follow up’s, field presentations and trade show support.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

• Experience in pump applications and selection; Slurry pump experience is preferred
• Knowledgeable in related industry processes and standards,
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written,
• Superior organizational skills while maintaining a high level of accuracy,
• Personal commitment to customer satisfaction and maintaining high levels of Customer Service,
• General computer proficiency with Microsoft Office® Products,
• Experience with ERP software considered an asset, but not required,
• Good interpersonal skills and a team player,
• Self-motivated and results oriented.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Chemical or Mining Engineering
• Languages:
• Spanish (Native or bilingual proficiency)
• English  (Professional proficiency)
• Preferably resides in Chile or Peru
• Must have a valid passport and be qualified for a visitor’s Visa to Canada

Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical product support to Regional Manager and to our Distributor/Agent organization by providing timely and accurate responses to both written and verbal inquiries, 
2. Expand the distributor and direct sale network within Latin America using cold calling, presentations and other means necessary in creating and maintaining new and already established relationships. 
3. When the Regional Manager is out of office, shall be responsible for all communications pertaining to the territory, initially with Regional Manager approval, and eventually independently. Strong telephone sales and engineering ability required to convert inquiries into orders. 
4. Prepare quotations for pumps, pumping systems, and any other products we become involved in, ensuring proper equipment selection for the specific application and be fully familiar with all features and benefits.
5. Follow up on all outstanding quotations in a timely manner.
6. Write up sales orders, ensuring all technical and commercial conditions have been checked prior to presentation for approval.
7. Be knowledgeable of and comply with all requirements of existing Quality Assurance System. 
8. Report on distributor/agent quotation activity_, methods to improve technical support to our sales network, any other improvements that will be beneficial to our customers and provide monthly reports to President and COO. 
9. Provide back-up to Part Sales in the event of work overload, illness, or vacation. 
10. All communication is to be prepared and presented in a professional manner.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

• 5 years Sales experience; an engineering background is preferred but not required,
• Maturity and stability; ability to make sound judgments in absence of Regional Manager; must work with minimal supervision,
• Strong written and verbal communications skills in Spanish and/or Portuguese and English,
• Must be able to work effectively within a team environment,
• Strong organizational skills,
• Strong computer skills and the ability to use software creatively, particularly windows based software, and excellent typing skills; experience with an ERP system is considered an asset,
• Living in Latin America is preferred, with the ability to travel within Latin America and Canada
